BREAKING: Zlatan Ibrahimovic Released by Manchester United

It has been confirmed from Premier League website, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been released by Manchester United. The official website of Premier League listed all the retained and released players on Friday of all the Clubs including the 35-Year Old under the Red Devils.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic came on free transfer from PSG on one year contract. He suffered horrible knee ligament injury at the end of season which is expected to take at least 6 months to recover. He was sent to United States for surgery and he recently joined the squad, not for playing but to present with the team and celebration, for the Europa League final in his home country Stockholm, Sweden.



Zlatan Ibrahimovic during his one season tenure in English football, played 46 games, scored 28 goals, provided 9 assists and won 3 trophies – Community Shield, EFL Cup and Europa League.

News were there in the past week that United are not going to offer him contract extension, with now Zlatan is leaving, the famous number 9 and number 7 shirt are vacant at Old Trafford. Latest players to be linked are Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid and Andrea Belotti of Serie A side Torino who scored 26 goals in 35 games.
