Real Madrid vs Barcelona

The most expensive tie in the history is just round the corner, here are some of the key facts for tonight’s game that may amaze.

The biggest rivalry in club football, El Clasico is hours away, and you can follow our live text coverage here. It’s a game like no other, not even the oldest rivalries in the world, the Merseyside Derby or Manchester United vs. Liverpool come close to it. The aggression, hate, and vengeance are part and parcel of the game.

Both the sides are edging closer to the La Liga crown with Real Madrid holding the pole position and enjoying a convincing three points lead with a game in hand. Also, the home advantage will play a crucial role for Real.

Barcelona were recently knocked out from the Champions League by Juventus, so the bitterness is still there whereas the host’s for tonight’s game are jubilant after securing a semi-final spot for the seventh successive time in the Champions League.

Anyhow, it’s a different ball game here, and nothing matters the most but a win.
