Ramos’ Heroics Save the Day for Real Madrid Once Again!

By  Football Pulp - 13 March 2017

It was one of those nights where the irrepressible Sergio Ramos rose to the occasion once again and be the savior for Real. Captain Charismatic headed up a late equalizer to help his side come from behind and win the game against Real Betis. The entire Santiago Bernabeu was at its feet when Sergio Ramos took the jump in the box and headed the ball perfectly in the nets, helping his side benefit from Barcelona’s slip against Deportivo earlier that day.

Real Madrid is placed comfortably at the top, two points clear of the Catalans with a game in hand. But who should take all the credit? Obviously Sergio Ramos!

The Spaniard has been phenomenal since his equalizer against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Final in 2014. Since then, the man of the late honor has scored 22 goals for Real Madrid in all competitions. Being a defender, it’s quite exceptional for Ramos to score goals so often. But he is leading his side with an example.

The winner against Real Betis was Ramos’ 10th of the season in all competitions, and he is destined to extend his tally. Well, the way the skipper is coming to the rescue every now and then, he can be a perfect nominee for Ballon d’Or next season.

Football is just a game where 22 players chase the ball for 90 minutes, and then Sergio Ramos appears from nowhere and scores the winner. Sergio Ramos is the reason Zinedine Zidane’s side are keeping the title race in hand.

Real Madrid is leading the La Liga table with 62 points; Barcelona are second with 60 points following their recent defeat, whereas Sevilla are sitting third with 57 points.
