After a roller coaster season at Real Madrid, things are finally looking up for Isco, who is reportedly set to sign a new contract with Los Blancos.
According to Marca, the Spaniard has agreed to a contract extension until 2022. The contract offers a salary topping 6 million Euros per season, and will place him among the highest paid footballers in the club behind only Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Sergio Ramos, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric.
According to Marca, the offer has been on the table since Christmas, and has now been accepted by Isco's father, who is the player's agent. The meeting was held between the two parties last week, with the signing ceremony to take place in due course.

The contract marks a turnaround for the playmaker, given he almost quite the club last summer. After interest from multiple clubs, which includes Manchester City, Juventus and Liverpool, the ex-Malaga man looks set to stay at his current club.
Though he didn't make it to the starting eleven as much as he would've liked in the first-half of the season, things changed since Gareth Bale suffered an injury and the playmaker was given the chance to replace him in the starting XI.

Isco proved his worth when he scored a decisive brace at Sporting Gijon, which helped the team gain 3 crucial points in La Liga. We hope that the player continues to give such performances for years to come.
